These terms govern your use of Ghost Racer, a mini game operated inside TikTok by EcomTask UG (haftungsbeschränkt). Playing the game means accepting them.

1. What you get

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play Ghost Racer for your own entertainment. You do not buy the game or any part of it; you are allowed to use it while these terms are in force.

2. Virtual items

Coins and diamonds are licences to use in-game content, not money and not property. They have no value outside the game, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be transferred between accounts. Everything they buy is cosmetic — characters, worlds, music, pickup sounds. Nothing on sale makes you faster or scores you more points.

If the game is discontinued we will announce it in the game beforehand, and unused diamonds bought with real money will be handled in line with your statutory rights.

3. Your rights when you buy something

Purchases are processed by TikTok, and TikTok's purchase terms apply to the payment itself. If you are a consumer in the EU you have a statutory right of withdrawal for digital content, which you may lose only once delivery has begun with your express consent and your acknowledgement that the right lapses. Nothing in these terms takes away rights the law gives you.

4. Fair play

Every run is verified by replaying its inputs on our server. That is not an accusation, it is the only way a leaderboard can mean anything. You agree not to:

• modify, decompile or automate the game, or play it through anything other than the official client;
• submit runs you did not play, including runs produced by scripts or bots;
• manipulate times, scores or currency by any technical means.

Runs that fail verification are rejected. Accounts used for repeated manipulation may lose their leaderboard entries or their access to the game. If we get that wrong, write to us and we will look at it again — we would rather reverse a mistake than keep a wrong result standing.

5. Leaderboards and seasons

Leaderboards may be reset at the end of a season, and daily boards rotate every day. We may remove entries that were obtained in breach of section 4.

6. Availability

We would like the game to be available all the time and cannot promise that it will be. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update the game — including for balance — without notice, provided we do not thereby take away something you paid for.

7. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only where an obligation essential to the purpose of this contract is breached, and then only for foreseeable, typical damage. Liability under the German Product Liability Act is unaffected.

8. Ending it

You may stop playing at any time; deleting the mini game's data removes your local profile. We may terminate access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms.

9. Law and disputes

German law applies, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We are neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
